Hi Terry,
Sorry to hear about all the rain. I've heard this from other students too, that the rain is pounding down. Sounds like it is a very heavy rainy season in Korea this year.
Thanks for explaining more about the TV shows and for sending the pictures. I can imagine who is who in the picture you sent. I think it's interesting that you call the two guys on the left "fat." Actually, in Canada they would be considered quite slim! We have lots of people who are much larger than they are.
I can understand the idea of the second show you mentioned too. It sounds like the six people become like servants for the old married couple. Is that right? I can imagine the couple orders them to do all kinds of strange and funny things, like cleaning the floor with toothbrushes and so on.
Can I make a suggestion about something you wrote? You said:
So I wish the rain will stop soon.
You should write:
So I hope the rain will stop soon.
"Wish" is for things that are unreal, that probably can't or won't happen. "Hope" is for things that are possible and may happen. In this case, "hope" is the word you want.
Have a great time at your English academy! Tell me what you studied.
All the best,
Gwen
