Hey Terry,
How's it going? Thanks for your message. Don't worry about when you write. I know it's getting close to the end of your vacation and you have lots to do. Your message had so many things I want to comment on. Let me get started.
About this sentence "One gold, one silver and two bronze came from Rowing." Yes, this is grammatically correct. However, I don't think you need a Capital letter on Rowing. A small 'r' is OK.
I've seen WALL-E too. I liked the simplicity of it. So many movies are incredibly big with a zillion special effects, hit music soundtrack, stars and so on. But WALL-E was refreshing because it was just a good story without all that other stuff. Today we went to Mummy 3: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. It was a lot like an Indiana Jones movie. Some of the movie happens in the Himalayas and I always like movies set in that location.
And now, sneakers. I've heard from one of my students about Korean sneakers. He said that the quality is really good and the price isn't high. Do you agree with this? I wear sneakers every day to walk my dog. Although I wear Nikes, they don't seem to last as long as I would like or be as comfortable as I would like. But they are better than other brands I've tried. So I love and hate my sneakers. I think I am probably difficult to please because I am hard on my sneakers for an hour every day, walking in all kinds of weather and road conditions. Tell me more about your new sneakers. What brand(s) do you like?
Finally, thanks for the link about the medal counts. I checked it out but I can't easily see Korean fonts on my computer. Actually, I can get the list of medals that Korea has, but the Canadian site doesn't have many stories on Korean athletes and their backgrounds. Luckily, you and others on this board are keeping me informed. My students tell me some of the stories too. Anyhow, 22 medals is really awesome! Congratulations! Korea is really doing well.
CYA,
Gwen
