Dear Terry,
Thanks for your note. It's really been a long time, eh? I was guessing that you were really busy with tests. I'm looking forward to hearing more about Sangsan. And, by the way, congratulations on passing the exam. I'ts great news!
Your English, as always, is very accurate and your "mountain of things to tell" me is an example of your creativity with language. I have just one small suggestion about your writing. You wrote:
I'm happy to tell you a great news!
We normally think of "news" as something that cannot be counted, so we don't say one news, two news or even a news. Just "news." Please write your sentence this way.
I'm happy to tell you great news!
See? Bye bye to "a."
Did you do anything to celebrate your admission to the school? Please write and tell me more about the school and your plans.
CYA,
Gwen
