About your question, "bad remark" and "vicious comment" are both OK. The second one is considered more descriptive and therefore more useful in communication. Also, "bad" (like "good") gets overused, so if you can use a better, less-used word, you will be considered better spoken. "Vicious" is a nice example of this. Another possibility here could be "nasty rumour" or "slander," if the comment damages the reputation of a person without any justification.
 
I think free speech, like all freedoms, requires some limits in order to protect people. Although people always say they want completely free speech, there are numerous limits to free expression already. Most of them, like limiting violent or sexual content in movies, are very reasonable. Others aren't. I'm not sure about the comments made about Ms. Choi. I think it's very sad that she died and I wish for peace and healing for her family. I didn't know about the Choi Law. It sounds interesting.
 
I'm also interested to hear about the "positive thinking" ideas you learned from your teacher. Please tell me.
 
Can I make a suggestion about one thing you wrote? You said:

Be careful where you put your relative clause. It should be closest to the noun it is describing. Here you are giving more information about Ahn, so try writing your sentence like this:
 
There was a rumor that she was involved in the death of Ahn, who was also a famous actor.
 
See? Keep "Ahn" and the relative clause "who was also a famous actor" close together.
