A Dormitory Life

Thanks for your kind answers to my questions.
Now I came to know more expressions like 'participate in', 'sign up', 'offer' and so on, so I will be able to avoid overusing "join" or "there is/are".
And I was really surprised to hear that you worked as a radio reporter.
Wow! You know, I've thought the reporter and the announcer to be charming jobs.
How was it feeling while broadcating live?
I guess it must have been a little bit of tension and excitement!! (Is it correct sentence?)
And for the dormitory!
Well... most people say that the dormitory is one of the best features of the school.
I'm sharing same idea with them. If I live in a dorm, I could avoid killing times while commuting. And I could have more close friends like roommates maybe.
And there's one more fascinating point; I could use the school facilities such as a library, and a computer room anytime I want.
However, there's also some worries. I have to leave my parents while I'm in the dorm, and I cannot be neglecting at all -- even for a few days...
But I'm trying to think it more positive.
I can go home about once a month, and can be more diligent.
I think it's a bit late, and I feel tired. So... I'll let you go for today. (Is it similar to "sign off"?)
See you tomorrow and be careful so not to catch a cold...^^
P.S.
ⓐ I cannot be neglecting at all -- with this sentence, I'd like to express feelings that some times I become tired and want to spend times just resting. Is it the right expression?
ⓑ Is there any expression that is similar to "kill time"?
ⓒ What is the alternative word to "expression"?
