Re: The school's rule and food

Hi Terry,
Those pictures of the food you sent are really appetizing! I can understand why the topic of food at Sangsan became an issue among students on the Internet. The food at the school where I attended was also tasty and nutritious. Actually, they had a tradition at that school to have "Sundae Sundays." On Sundays, the dessert was a huge assortment of ice cream and toppings. Everyone loved Sundays a lot.
I think it's great that students have to go to bed by midnight. I know high school is a really competitive time for students so it's great that the school encourages everyone to take care of their health, particularly by getting enough sleep. I've heard lots of stories of high school students who sleep only one or two hours a night because they are studying. That sounds really unhealthy and depressing. I really need at least 7 hours of sleep every night and I can't imagine not having enough.
You brought up an interesting topic when you mentioned rules. Talking about your new school reminds me so much of my high school days. For us, there were very, very strict rules about dating. Basically, students were allowed to go out on a date (one boy, one girl), off campus, one time in a month if they were in the final year of high school. For students younger than that, going on dates was not allowed and we could only go off campus in small groups a couple of times a month. What are the Sangsan rules about dating? Oh yeah, and at my school, there were very, very strict rules about things like hugging, kissing, holding hands. It was all forbidden on campus. Is it the same at your school?
You also asked about the time. My time zone is 17 hours behind yours. I think normally you write me around 11 p.m. your time and I often write you at the same time, which is about 6 or 7 a.m. my time.
It's now Sunday morning here. I've just walked my dog and it's raining outside. I'm going to have a relaxing cup of coffee and read my book. It's called Uglies, about a futuristic society where everyone is forced to get cosmetic surgery to become a "pretty." It's an interesting book. Check it out if you are looking for something new to read.
L8R,
Gwen
